Nilfisk C110 XTRA review
Entry-level model for low requirements. Suitable for people who occasionally want to clean small objects such as tools, bicycles, motorbikes, and some garden slabs.
However, if you are looking for this kind of device, we recommend the Nilfisk Core 125, a newer, improved entry-level model. Not only is it cheaper, but it has more cleaning power and is a little more comfortable to use.
Nilfisk Core 125 review
The lightweight Nilfisk entry-level model is excellent for cleaning small objects Such as small patios, driveways, bicycles, motorbikes, garden tools.
Thanks to the two nozzles, different cleaning tasks can be carried out. Particularly the so-called rough nozzle cleans even heavily soiled areas relatively quickly and thoroughly. The gentle nozzle is well suited for somewhat more delicate and less dirty objects such as bicycles or cars.
Pros
- Easy to move and carry around thanks to the wheels and the lightweight.
- Flexible pressure hose.
- Intelligent design: Enough space to store the gun, lance, cable, and pressure hose.
- Excellent price-performance ratio.
Cons
- For certain cleaning tasks (e.g., cars), the pressure hose is a bit short.
Nilfisk Core 130 review
Bottom line, the device is almost identical to the Core 125. The water pressure and the water flow are a little higher but the difference with the Core 125 is hardly noticeable.
With the 1 metre longer pressure hose, a smaller car can be cleaned a little more comfortably, but again the difference is not huge.
The biggest difference is in the price; here the Core 125 performs much better.
If you are looking for an entry-level device, we recommend the Core 125. Almost the same device but clearly cheaper.
Nilfisk Core 140 review
The Nilfisk Core 140 range comes in two models. The Core 140 Powercontrol and the Core 140 In-Hand Powercontrol.
Size, weight, and cleaning power are identical, but there are three differences:
- With the Core 140 In-Hand Powercontrol you can adjust the different pressure levels on the gun.
- The pressure hose is 8 metres long, two metres longer than the Core 140 Powercontrol model. This is a great advantage, especially when cleaning a car. You can clean a whole car comfortably without constantly dragging the device.
- The third difference is the price; the Core 140 Powercontrol is considerably cheaper.
The devices are quick and easy to set up. Connect the pressure hose to the unit and the gun, attach the lance, connect the water hose and open the tap, plug in the power cable, set the unit switch to “On” and you are ready to go.
The quality of the Nilfisk Core 140 feels good and the design is intelligent; cable, pressure hose, gun and lances can be conveniently stored on the unit.
The hose reel is particularly useful as it eliminates the tedious task of rolling up and unrolling the pressure hose by hand.
The pressure hose is very flexible, which makes working a lot easier.
The Core 140 units have an aluminium pump, so they should last longer. Nilfisk is the only manufacturer to use aluminium pumps for pressure washers in this class.
The price-performance ratio of the Core 140 units is excellent.
For people who regularly want to clean their car, patio, driveway and the like, the Core 140 is ideal. They are practical, affordable, and reliable; you can’t go wrong with this purchase.
If you primarily want to clean larger vehicles (SUVs, vans), we recommend the Nilfisk Core 140 In-Hand Powercontrol. The longer pressure hose is worth its weight in gold here.
Pros
- Easy and quick set-up
- Intelligent design
- Excellent price-performance ratio
- Flexible pressure hose
- Practical hose reel
- Comfortable operating
- Aluminium pump for longevity
Cons
- A bit light for the water pressure, so it tends to fall over
- No integrated detergent tank
- No suction hose for external water source
- The pressure hose is a bit short for certain tasks
- The different pressure levels cannot be adjusted on the lance.

Nilfisk E 145 X-TRA review
High-quality device from the Nilfisk mid-range. The cleaning performance is similar to the Core 140, but there are some significant differences.
Overall, the quality feels high, and the build quality is right. The design is, as with almost all Nilfisk pressure washers, very intelligent. The hose reel is super helpful and very practical. There is space on the unit for the gun, the lance, the foam sprayer and the two nozzles.
With the 9-=metre long and soft pressure hose, even larger vehicles can be cleaned with ease.
The unit is heavy, but the 18 kilograms are quite easy to move thanks to the extendable telescopic handle and the large wheels.
Working with the Nilfisk E 145 is practical and comfortable. The only small drawback is the two nozzles (Powerspeed nozzle and variable pressure Tornado nozzle). They have to be changed by hand for different cleaning levels.
With 145-bar water pressure and a flow rate of 500 litres per hour, all objects around the house can be cleaned very effectively without any problems.
Thanks to special rubber suspension, the E 145 is quiet, which is always good if you have noise-sensitive neighbours.
Of course, the E 145 also has an aluminium pump, which increases its durability.
The Nilfisk E 45 X-TRA is suitable for demanding people who want to clean frequently and as comfortably as possible.
Which Nilfisk Pressure washer for your car?
If you are looking at buying a pressure washer primarily for cleaning your car then you will want something that you can attach different fitments to, allowing you to clean the paintwork, wheels, and underside, as well as being able to attach a foamer to your lance too.
Basically, a car can be cleaned with any Nilfisk pressure washer. All models have sufficient power and a foam sprayer with which shampoo can be applied.
However, not all devices can be used to clean equally comfortably. Above all, the length of the pressure hose is crucial here.
If you have a short hose, you will have to constantly drag the device behind you, which will become tedious over time. Do not underestimate this.
That is why we recommend either the Nilfisk Core 140 In-Hand Powercontrol or the E 145 for regular vehicle cleaning.
Nilfisk core vs compact
The Nilfisk low-level range models are called ”core” & “compact”.
The compact models are smaller and, of course, more compact devices. They start with 100-bar water pressure up to 120-bar. Their type designation always begins with a ”C”—for example, the C 120.7.
The core models, starting with the Core 125 (125 bar) up to the Core 150 Powercontrol (150 bar), are a bit bigger and more powerful in water pressure.
Which to buy for your patio?
When buying a power washer for cleaning your patio, slabs and brickwork, pressure and water flow are very important.
You can clean the patio with any Nilfisk high pressure cleaner. Which machine is the most suitable depends on how big and how dirty the area to be cleaned is, and how often you want to use it.
If you want to clean small areas (under 20 m2) from time to time, you can buy one of the small devices, either the C 110 or the Nilfisk Core 125.
For medium-sized areas (up to approx. 50 m2) we recommend the Core 140 Powercontrol.
For frequent cleaning of large areas (over 50 m2), we would buy the E 145.
A Patio Cleaner is very practical. This accessory has been specially designed for patios and enables faster and more thorough cleaning.
You can purchase a patio cleaner separately or buy a cleaning kit model straight from the start (the patio cleaner is included in the kit).
The Nilfisk PowerGrip
A new feature on Nilfisk pressure washers is the PowerGrip. On the base handgrip of the lance gun, you will find an up-and-down button allowing you to easily adjust the pressure of the water right at your fingertips.
Benefits of the Nilfisk PowerGrip
The power grip function isn’t new. However, it is a new way of doing it. Being able to adjust your pressure washer is a standard feature, however, the Nilfisk PowerGrip makes it even easier. With it being on the handle of the gun itself you can quickly and easily adjust the pressure without stopping, going back to the pressure washer or having to twist the lance as you do on the other models.
There are 7 settings, or levels should I say, from low to high you can adjust the pressure. This is useful when cleaning your car; for example, you can lower the pressure to ensure you don’t damage the paintwork. However, you can also easily increase the pressure when doing the alloy wheels on your car. The setting can quickly be dropped down to clean your garden furniture and quickly adjusted up to the maximum to remove a stain or dirt on the patio.
Being able to adjust this so easily also helps you save water. When changing the pressure up and down is easy, you are more likely to do so instead of just leaving it on a max setting where it will use the most water.
