Best Pressure Washer for under £100

Our Top Pick – Karcher K2 Compact – A tough choice; however, we felt the compact design and robust build quality of this just gave it the edge. In terms of spec, it is almost identical to the Nilfisk and comes down to personal preference. Besides, the Karcher K2 is one of the best-selling pressure washers on Amazon UK.

Second Choice – Nilfisk C110 4-5 PC Xtra – Not to be sniffed at, this is a great pressure washer, and if you are a fan of Nilfisk, then this is a great model. It packs a punch and comes with some valuable attachments, it was a close-run battle with the Karcher K2, and it was difficult to tear them apart.

Third Choice – The Bosch EasyAquatak 110 Pressure Washer. A well-designed pressure washer, however, its build quality and robustness could be improved. Compared to the other models, it didn’t have as many features or attachments included in the price. From a value and build quality, the Bosch comes in third, it is still a great device, but the Karcher and Nilfisk are better options for your money.

Pressure washers for under £100 – 2024 reviews

Black & Decker BXPW 1400E review

With a list price of just under £100, the Black and Decker is one of the more expensive units among the cheap ones. It comes with the gun, a 5-metre pressure hose, an extension lance, adjustable spray nozzle, rotating nozzle, and a foam sprayer.

The extra price is justified. The quality feels better than with the no-name devices. The assembly takes a bit of time, you have to screw on the holder for the gun and lances as well as the wheels, but everything is within normal limits.

Thanks to the extension lance and the rotating nozzle, even stubborn dirt can be removed quickly and easily.

This device is a real alternative to our recommended models

However, it is only suitable for smaller cleaning jobs.

Ryobi RPW110B review

The Ryobi makes a fairly good impression, you don’t have to assemble anything. Simply connect the pressure hose to the gun, attach the lance to the gun, plug in the power cable, set the switch to “on” and you are ready to clean.

Two lances are supplied: the vario lance with different pressure levels, and the turbo lance for heavy dirt. A jet foam bottle is also in the box.

The cleaning performance is ok and much better than, for example, a Silverline or a Stream, thanks to the turbo lance.

The external foam bottle has to be connected to the tip of the lance. However, the contents is not enough to clean a larger car.

The Ryobi is also a valid alternative to our top picks.

Turtle Wax TW 120 review

The Turtle Wax is ok at first sight. The assembly is very easy and fast; you don’t need any screws or the like.

The general quality does not feel particularly good, which is no wonder at this low price.

The cleaning performance is quite good for small areas with little soiling. All in all, it’s not enough for us to recommend it.

Pro-Kleen 1600 W review

Pro-Kleen 1600W pressure washer

Everything it needs for cleaning is there: pressure hose, various nozzles, as well as a lance and gun.  There is space on the unit for storing the pressure hose and power cord, which is practical.

Assembling and setting up (as with almost all pressure washers) is quick and easy. The working pressure is about 90 bar, enough to clean small areas from time to time, but nothing more.

Vytronix PW 1500 review

Vytronix PW1500 pressure washer

The Vytronix also comes with the usual standard equipment: 5-metre pressure hose, gun, foam nozzle, and various other nozzles. It has no wheels, but at approx. 6 kg, the Vyctronix is easy to carry around. The space for storing the cable and pressure hose is very small.

The cleaning performance is so-so, the maximum operative pressure is stated as 105 bar, but the working pressure is probably hardly more than 80 bar. Heavily soiled areas can, at best, be cleaned with the very thin jet; larger areas cannot be cleaned in this way.

The device is fine for people who want to clean small areas with light dirt from time to time and have a small budget, but there are better alternatives.

Stream 1500W

This no-name pressure washer comes with a 5-metre pressure hose, a gun, a foam detergent bottle, and an adjustable nozzle.

You can only clean reasonably well with the thin jet; the detergent bottle empties very quickly and could be bigger.

It is ok for people who need the device 2-3 times a year to clean away the roughest dirt on a small patio, driveway, etc. You can also wash a smaller car in a pinch. You should not expect more.

Silverline 1400W

Silverline 1500W pressure washer

Attach the wheels, attach the holder for the gun and lance and the Silverline is assembled. It’s quick and easy. The storage space is small, the power cord and pressure hose tend to fall off.  The build quality of this no-name device is poor. With a bit of luck, the Silverline will last 1 to 2 years, then the purchase will have been worthwhile.

The lance is very short and you have to bend down to clean it. For tall people or people with back problems in particular, this is impractical.

The cleaning performance is about the same as with all no-name high-pressure cleaners. If you want to clean small, lightly soiled objects from time to time, it’s fine. Otherwise, it is better to buy a somewhat larger and more practical device.

Einhell TC-HP 90

The Einhell is small, light, and very cheap. However, with a maximum water pressure of 90 bar (operationally, the pressure should be in the range of 60-80 at most) and a 3-metre pressure hose, this device is only suitable for small areas. The cleaning performance is significantly lower compared to a Kärcher K2 Compact, which has a similar design.

The lances are even shorter than those of the Silverline unit, which is bad for the back.

The general quality is within the usual range of cheap devices: Not convincing.

Conclusion

These cheap jet washers are all very affordable and cost less than £100 so do not expect miracles. They can be used for occasional cleaning jobs and smaller, moderately soiled objects, but not for more demanding tasks.

The cheap devices can be divided into two groups. The ultra-cheap no-names and the slightly more expensive brand-name models.
We advise against the no-names, the quality is poor here and they often stop working after a short time. There is no support and no additional accessories are available.

Even the more expensive Kärcher, Bosch or Ryobi are no marvels, but they offer a bit more than the no-names.

No matter which brand you buy from, there are always customers who are a bit unlucky: The pressure washers do not run at all, or not for long, parts are missing, or the device has already been used once and simply repackaged.

If you are looking for a little more comfort, versatility and cleaning power, we recommend a good all-rounder, for example, the Kärcher K4. The list price is of course higher, but every now and then you can get incredibly attractive discounts.

Here you will always find current top deals; with a little patience, you can buy a real bargain.
