Kärcher KHB 6 cordless pressure washer

We’ve bought the Kärcher KHB 6, unboxed it, put it together and tested it extensively. We paid particular attention to these points:

  • Is the device easy to assemble?
  • How easily can it be moved and transported?
  • How does the general quality feel?
  • How easy is it to set up the device?
  • How quickly and reliably can stubborn dirt be removed?
  • Is it comfortable to work with?

In this review, we will share our experiences using the product.

In the box

  • KHB 6 unit

Our testing experience

We cleaned a moderately soiled bicycle with the KHB 6. The build quality is convincing, and all parts fit together perfectly. The set-up is very easy and quick.

Attach the lance to the unit, put on the desired nozzle and insert the battery. Then attach the suction hose and place the other end in the bucket (instead of sucking the water from an external source, but you can also connect a garden hose). Now you’re ready to go!

The KHB6 works perfectly, the water is sucked in and after a short time, it shoots out of the nozzle. The small battery has just enough capacity to clean our bike. For thorough cleaning, or for several objects, the charge is not enough. In such cases, you either have to recharge, buy a second battery or the larger version (5 Ah). On the other hand, the battery level indicator is practical, so you know exactly how long you can work.

The cleaning performance is very good for a medium-pressure cleaner. Most dirt can be removed easily with the ordinary nozzle. For stubborn residues, there is the Dirt Blaster. Thanks to the rotating nozzle, you can remove practically any dirt with it.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Easy to set up
  • Very good build quality
  • The cleaning power is really good
  • A larger battery is available (5 Ah), although expensive
  • You can also connect a garden hose instead of the suction hose

Cons

  • You have to buy the suction hose separately, it’s not included in the box
  • A fully equipped KHB 6 is expensive
  • The short lance is not suitable for tasks on the ground. Especially when you’re very tall or have back problems

Should you buy the Kärcher KHB 6?

Basically, the KHB 6 is a high-quality device that cleans really well. However, we find the device too expensive. If you want to buy an additional battery and the suction hose, you will easily reach £ 300.

However, if you have an unlimited budget and only want to buy absolute top quality, the KHB 6 is worth considering.
