Differences Between the Karcher WV2 & the WV5
Published By - 19th October 2016
Getting rid of dirt is one of the worst chores we can possibly face at home. Karcher has been coming to our rescue with their wide range of products aimed to make our lives dirt free as well as greatly reduce the time we spend cleaning our beautiful homes (that mysteriously manage to get messy anyway).
Sometimes, it is not actual dirt that gets our house messy, but water. Excess condensation in homes can be seen on mirrors, windows, tiles etcetera. This is where we need to make use of Karcher’s awesome window vacuum cleaner products. Karcher guarantees quality products and its window vacuum cleaners are no different.
All you need to do is spray the cleaning liquid onto the surface you want to clean and wipe it with a soft cloth. Then allow the window vacuum cleaner to do its bit. Like magic, it cleans the area leaving it spotless and streak-free. Karcher offers a couple of models in its window vacuum cleaner range. These models include wv2 plus, wv2 premium, wv5 plus, wv5 premium.
Karcher WV2 Vs WV5 Comparison
There is a minimal price difference between the wv2 products (wv2 plus and wv2 premium) and the wv5 products (wv5 plus and wv5 premium). And since the premium products are in high demand as compared to the base products due to their enhanced features, we will focus on the premium window vacuum cleaners in each category.
This table below compares the differences between the Karcher window vacs.

Karcher WV2
The Karcher wv2 is the favourite window vacuum cleaner product among its users. It has been rated the highest not only in comparison to the other Karcher window vacuum cleaner products but to all the rest of the competitor companies’ window vacuum cleaner products. The wv2 comes with a cleaning spray liquid and a microfiber cloth to ensure the best results while cleaning. Besides this, it also comes with a wide and narrow nozzle that allows you to clean flat surfaces as well as tricky tiny spaces with the same ease.
With a battery life of twenty-five minutes, this product may require to be charged to a hundred per cent before cleaning to avoid running out of battery during your cleaning session. At a great price point, this Karcher product proves to be high in quality, thereby keeping up to Karcher’s reputation.
Karcher WV5
Obviously, an updated version of the wv2 is the Karcher wv5. With a 25% increase in battery performance, this window vacuum cleaner has been designed specifically to cut down on your cleaning time. This developed version also comes with a three-step LED display located on the screen handle. Just like the wv2, this product too comes along with a cleaning spray liquid plus a microfiber cloth and two nozzles (wide and narrow).
Additionally, the wv5 comes with a nozzle with distance spacers to enhance your cleaning routine. The battery of this model is removable which can prove convenient while charging the same. Owing to its extended battery life, this product is able to clean a pretty large area in a single charge. However, this does mean that it requires an additional amount of time to charge. Also, this product works with minimal noise, thereby eliminating the need to listen to an annoying sound while cleaning. Priced just a little more than the wv2, this window vacuum cleaner is a bit on the expensive side, but nevertheless completely worth it.
Karcher window vacuum cleaners are revolutionizing the way we clean and also the time we spend doing the same. With an assurance of high quality and minimal environmental degradation, Karcher products are ruling the market. In order to ensure drip-free cleaning, these Karcher products come with superior blade technology (which is obviously patented).
Once the cleaning session is over, all you need to do is pull open a plug from under these products and tilt it to drain the water. From foggy windows and shower cubicles to spillage on your kitchen floor, Karcher window vacuum cleaner products take care of it all. From the above comparison, it is easy to decide on the window vacuum cleaner required in your home.
Performance-wise, both products are excellent, the only difference being the 10-minute extra battery life in the case of the wv5. If you decide on the basis of accessories, then, of course, the wv5 wins no doubt. No matter which product you ultimately purchase, you will still benefit from owning a Karcher product.

Do you have to charge the WV2 Karcher everytime you use it.If you fully charge it for 120 minutes and only use it for 10 minutes will you still have 15 minutes left to use in the future say in a weeks time without having to recharge it
Pressure Washer Reviewer
If it is fully charged and you only use it for half the time then there will still be charge left in it for next time, however it maybe less as it may drain when not in use.

I want to buy the cleaner, is the rubber blade the same size on the wv2 as the wv5.I have some love to shop vouchers due to me value (£50) i dont mind paying the extra for the wv5 if its a better device.Argos seem to have limited stock ie wv2 on line display.Do you know if they can supply the wv5.I am more concerned that the blade is the same size

The anniversary version is basically a WV2 and doesnt perform anywhere near as well as my old WV50 did. Sounds slower and doesnt suck the water as well.
